Everyone carries a child within. That's why the world of Peanuts, where few adults appear, resonates deeply with the most tender corners of our hearts. In the quiet of night, in moments of loneliness or discouragement, simply thinking of Snoopy and his friends can bring a smile—and suddenly, we feel revived.

That is the magic of Peanuts. For 75 years, it has accompanied generations through life's journey, using the simplest lines to convey the most profound emotions and philosophical reflections. From its humble debut in 1950 in just seven newspapers to becoming a shared memory for over 355 million readers across 75 countries, Peanuts has long transcended the boundaries of a comic strip. It has become a cultural symbol, a mark of its era and a reflection of universal values.

Curating this exhibition celebrating Peanuts' 75th anniversary is my great honor and responsibility. Our goal goes beyond rekindling the public's love for Snoopy—we hope this exhibition invites everyone to rediscover the spirit of Peanuts: simplicity that runs deep, humor grounded in honesty, and childlike wonder that speaks straight to the soul.

As chief curator of the exhibition, I am delighted to have collaborated with Mr. Daisuke Kusakari, Creative Director of the Snoopy Museum Tokyo, who curated our first section. Together, we designed an exhibition that spans four central themes—comics, art and culture, fashion, and space. From Charles M. Schulz's creative journey to contemporary reinterpretations of Snoopy, from the gentle strokes of classic comic strips to vibrant dialogues with Asian aesthetics, each section invites visitors to meet a Snoopy who is "more than just cute"—a character both familiar and new.

For the first time, we are honored to present several rare documents from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, some never before seen in Asia. We also invited Asian and international artists to share their visions of Peanuts through various media such as ink painting, sculpture, design, and
installation. This exhibition is a meeting point of art, comics, East and West, childhood, and creativity. Whether you're seven or seventy, you'll find a moment in the exhibition that brings you a knowing smile.

I also thank the CPLG team, Peanuts Worldwide, and the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center for their generous support and collaboration. Their invaluable imagery and curatorial resources have allowed this exhibition to transcend the boundaries of language and geography, connecting the shared memories and emotions of Peanuts fans around the world.

One of the philosophies associated with Snoopy is, “Sometimes, when you think you’re doing nothing, you might actually be doing something significant.” Perhaps the truly important moments are when we find ourselves quietly laughing in front of a comic panel or moved by a simple line of dialogue.
