This exhibition is realized through the cooperation of the Charles M. Notably, it offers a new perspective on the cultural expandability and contemporary significance of Snoopy and Peanuts based on an East Asian viewpoint.
Part 1. Art of Peanuts
This section is curated by Daisuke Kusakari, Creative Director of Snoopy Museum Tokyo, in collaboration with Wooyang Art Museum.
Through over 50 classic Peanuts comic strips, this section views the world of Snoopy from an East Asian perspective, exploring the subtle connections between the aesthetic characteristics of Charles M. Schulz’s drawings and traditional Eastern arts such as ink wash painting. Going beyond a simple character exhibition, it is a space that reinterprets Snoopy’s philosophy and humor into an artistic language.
Part 2. Snoopy in Space
An experiential space highlighting Snoopy’s deep connection with space exploration.
Snoopy, whose name was given to the Apollo 10 lunar module in 1969, flew into space as the zero-gravity indicator for the NASA Artemis I mission in 2022. Visitors can experience the immersive journey of “Snoopy’s Spaceship Exploration” through interactive installations.
Part 3. Snoopy and Belle in Fashion
Highlighting the relationship between fashion and Peanuts, this section showcases the haute couture collection of Snoopy and Belle designed by world-renowned fashion houses.
Through garments created by global brands such as Chanel, Swarovski, Fendi, Missoni, and Jean Paul Gaultier, Snoopy and Belle are reborn as contemporary fashion icons beyond their comic origins.
Part 4. Snoopy in Art
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, major domestic and international contemporary artists present new and representative works with Snoopy as a motif.
Expressed through various media, including painting, sculpture, and animation, these works expand the familiar character of Snoopy with new artistic imagination, forming a venue for cross-cultural dialogue.
Participating artists include Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, well known for his large-scale public sculpture Rubber Duck; Korean character design studio SUPERFICTION; German artist group inges idee and Andreas Piontkowitz; Korean artist Jae Yong Kim, who receives international attention for his “donut sculptures”; media artist VAKKI, who explores the energy of everyday life and the cycle of existence through geometric formative language and sensuous rhythms; Etsu Egami, a notable artist in the Japanese contemporary art world; and Brazilian artist AVAF.
Additionally, through the participation of domestic artists reflecting regionality and cultural sensibilities, works that newly interpret Snoopy and Peanuts within a Korean context are also introduced.

How Do You Do, Snoopy? 75 Years: A Journey of Friendship Through Art goes beyond a simple character archive exhibition to explore how the cultural icon Snoopy has operated within art, society, and our daily lives over the past 75 years.
Since their appearance in 1950, Snoopy and Peanuts have transcended newspaper comic strips to become a language of empathy across generations and borders, serving as a symbol that captures human anxiety and humor, friendship and loss, imagination, and recovery in the simplest yet most profound way. In particular, Snoopy has functioned as a symbol of safety and the spirit of exploration through collaborations with NASA space projects since the 1960s, which is a rare example of a pop character continuously expanding its meaning within the realms of actual society, science, and culture.
Simultaneously, Snoopy has been a source of inspiration for numerous contemporary artists. The international artists participating in this exhibition do not merely represent Snoopy as an object of nostalgia but endow new narratives and messages through their respective perspectives and media. Through this, it demonstrates how a single character is constantly varied into new images and meanings depending on the era, culture, and the artist’s interpretation.
Furthermore, this exhibition is significant in that it is structured for visitors to sensuously experience and participate within the space, rather than just “viewing” it. Just as Snoopy has evolved into a living cultural entity by interacting with the public over a long period, visitors will re-read, experience, and reconstruct Snoopy within their own memories through the exhibition.
In this regard, Snoopy goes beyond a popular character of a specific era, aligning with the attributes of contemporary art that constantly generates new meanings through continuous reinterpretation and participation. How Do You Do, Snoopy? is an exhibition that expands the boundaries between popular culture and contemporary art through Snoopy, proposing how art mediates intergenerational empathy and imagination.
